The challenge was to design a brand identity that reflects the adventurous essence of ErosMaps while maintaining a sense of trust, clarity, and functionality. Since the app serves explorers, travelers, and emergency responders who often rely on it in critical, offline environments, the identity needed to capture both the spirit of exploration and the precision of technology. The brand had to visually communicate reliability and direction, conveying the idea of movement, guidance, and connection with nature while standing out in the digital mapping industry as both modern and emotionally resonant.

Solution

To solve this, the brand identity was crafted around the concept of path and discovery. The logo’s design draws inspiration from the organic curves and intersections of routes seen on maps, forming a visual metaphor for exploration and navigation. A distinctive “E” shaped icon reinforces directionality and movement, symbolizing the user’s journey. The earthy color palette and clean typography balance natural inspiration with technological refinement, creating an aesthetic that feels modern yet grounded.
